Most people would be hard pressed to profit from selling the same thing that everyone else is trying to sell. Well, this is supposed to be about classified adds. OK, this is it in a nutshell: Keep your ads in the area of high visability by deleting them after the traffic surge stops and resubmitting them again to get them back in the flow. Make sure you can track the unique hits you get from ads you place. This can be from site stats that your web host may provide or from a counter that counts hits to individual web pages. Now, when your ads get posted you will see the window of useful traffic come and go and know when to pull your ad out and re-submit it.
When advertising you will be presented with many subcategories. For maximum results, choose as many
as are applicable to what you have to offer. A business such as The DHS Club is applicable to more than one catagory. Again, this is on account of it's various products and services and it's affiliation with over 200 online stores.
Another key is varying the headline and ad for each category. This determines if YAHOO! accepts the ad(s). i.e.- Make your ad for 'Computer Hardware' sound like a Computer Hardware ad, and your ad for "Toys" sound like a Toys ad.
